MARÍA: YOUR CREATIVE POWERHOUSE

María is a bilingual performer who was born and raised in Monterrey, México currently based in New York. She is a vibrant, elegant and passionate creative who will light up any rehearsal room, merging her witty personality with her dedication and work ethic. She is a physically trained actress specialized in the Suzuki Acting Method as well as Laban, Viewpoints, Stanislavsky, and Chekhov. María is also a trained dancer, versed in styles including: Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, African Dance and Basic Pole. She also has 10+ years of experience as a singer.

She loves taking on challenging roles and using her physicality and spunk to make them her own, some of her favorites have been Evelyn Williams in American Psycho directed by Sarah Hartmann, Heather Chandler in Heathers and Vocal/Dance Ensamble in The Great Comet directed by Attilio Rigotti. She has also dived into commercial work for Ualá in Mexico which aired in national television, and has participated in two music videos for Sony Music Mexico. María also models, she was last seen in 2021 for OnxSet’s NYFW event where she modeled for Entos Lingerie. Apart from theatre, María loves to travel around the world, (and visit her loved ones in Mexico!) reading, yoga, and energy work.
